Lexington, Kentucky — November 2025 — Emirates Park Stud has further enhanced its international breeding portfolio with the purchase of three well-bred broodmares at the prestigious Keeneland November Breeding Stock Sale, continuing its commitment to sourcing elite female lines from the world’s leading markets.
The acquisitions were secured by Bryan Carlson on behalf of Emirates Park and include Santa Fe Gold (by Fast Anna), Day Drama (by Midshipman) and To Thyself Be True (by Girvin)—three mares selected for their strong pedigrees, athletic profiles and long-term breeding potential.
Santa Fe Gold, by Grade 1-winning sprinter Fast Anna, brings proven American speed influence, while Day Drama, a daughter of champion sire Midshipman, offers depth of pedigree and commercial appeal. Completing the trio is To Thyself Be True, by rising sire Girvin, whose progeny continue to make an impact on the racetrack and in the sales ring.
Carlson said the purchases align with Emirates Park’s long-term strategy of strengthening its broodmare base with internationally sourced bloodlines that complement Australian stallions. “Keeneland November consistently provides access to mares of exceptional quality,” he said. “These three mares were carefully selected to fit our program and we believe they will make a meaningful contribution to Emirates Park’s future success.”
The mares will now be transferred to Emirates Park’s Hunter Valley base, where mating plans are already underway as the stud continues to build on its reputation for breeding and racing top-class thoroughbreds in Australia and around the world.
