Al Maher yearlings primed for 2008 sales

DECEMBER, 2007: The magnificent first crop of Al Maher make their collective debut at the 2008 Yearlings Sales of Australia and New Zealand with Emirates Park's exciting new stallion represented in force.

Over 100 members of Al Maher's first crop are to be offered at public auction during the course of 2008, with Emirates Park consigning in the region of 30 members of this impressive new breed.

Found among the Al Maher youngsters entered by Emirates Park for the 2008 sales is a half-sister to champion sire Encosta de Lago, a daughter of the outstanding producer Arctic Scene (Can), plus maternal grandsons of Sadler's Wells, Seeking The Gold, Kingmambo, Alysheba, Affirmed, Fappiano and Gulch.  

Other prominent vendors expected to be offering Al Maher yearlings in 2008 include Coolmore Australia, Swettenham Stud, Yarraman Park, Vinery Stud, Bellerive Stud, Glenlogan Park and others of that caliber.

The first Al Maher draft goes under the hammer at the New Zealand Bloodstock's 2008 Karaka Premier Session staged on January 28 and 29. Four bay colts are to be offered by Wellfield Lodge (two lots), Chesterfields Ltd and Highview Stud beginning the next phase in the Group One winner's illustrious career.
