Secret Savings ready-to-runner fetches $210,000

NOVEMBER, 2007: A 2-year-old by Secret Savings (USA) fetched $NZ210,000 at the 2007 Ready-To-Run Sale staged by New Zealand Bloodstock at its Karaka complex.

Offered as Lot 179 by ANZAC Lodge, the colt is the fifth foal of Kristofle (Ire), an unraced daughter of Kris, and was purchased by Ms MA Kam Ching of Hong Kong.

The Secret Savings youngster had previously been sold at Session Five of the 2007 Magic Millions Yearling Sale by Stratheden Stud for the sum of $42,000.   In his breeze up for the Ready-to-Run, the striking chestnut colt just shaded his work companion to record a final 200-metre time of 10.41 seconds.

Secret Savings is now recognised as the sire of 218 individual winners at better than 60 per cent winners-to-runners. He is the world's most established sire-son of Seeking The Gold, Claiborne stud's exceptional son of Mr Prospector set to stand the 2008 northern hemisphere breeding season at a fee of $US125,000.
