Winner 200 for Secret Savings

JUNE 15, 2007: Secret Savings (USA) recently achieved another major milestone in his stud career when represented by his 200th individual winner.

The prolific son of Seeking The Gold is currently accredited with 201 winners following the maiden successes of Dees Stash (ex Adeewin, by Snaadee) at the Gold Coast on June 2 and of Polar Crown (ex Polar Crown, by Carry The Clown) at Murwilumbah the day after.

The 201 winners posted by Secret Savings have come from 344 starters at a winners-to-starters ratio of 58.4 percent. Of these, 11 have won at Group or Listed level, with a further 19 boasting at least one stakes placing.

Australia’s leading Mr Prospector-line stallion by number of individual winners in season 2005/06, Secret Savings is enjoying another highly productive season in 2006/07. No fewer than 59 members of the stallion’s current racing progeny have won a collective 93 races, with total progeny earnings for the same period exceeding $1.7 million.

The most notable representatives of the breed to perform this season are the likes of black-type winners Bikkie Tin Blues (NJC Newcastle Gold Cup-G3), Anwaar (AJC Hall Mark S.-LR) and Love And Money (QTC Carlton Draft Classic-LR). Also, the highly promising Cent Per Cent narrowly missed out on joining his sire’s list of Group One performers with an outstanding fourth in the QTC T.J. Smith Stakes during the Brisbane Winter Carnival.
