SECRET SAVINGS (B. 1991, Seeking The Gold-Jurisdictional)
The imported racehorse and stallion Secret Savings (USA) very much helped shape the Emirates Park racing and breeding operation into what it is today. Secured by His Excellency Nasser Abdullah Hussain Lootah for future stud purposes in Australia, one outstanding preparation under the guidance of champion trainer Gai Waterhouse resulted in a sequence of brilliant performances culminating with a coveted win in the Group 1 AJC Doncaster Handicap.
The stud career of Secret Savings (USA) while serving at Emirates Park's headquarters in Murrurundi proved equally distinguished. The Mr Prospector-line stallion has been responsible for no fewer than 17 stakes winners featuring the Group 1 winners Shamekha, Dash For Cash and Swiss Ace.
Secret Savings (USA) was euthanized in December 2008 after losing his batte to laminitas, but his legacy is set to live on for many seasons. In addition to being represented at stud by sire-sons Dash For Cash and Swiss Ace, this great servant of Emirates Park has a host of quality daughters, including Group winners Shamekha and Salameh.
