Inaugural Peter Milling Thoroughbred Yearling Sale draft
Emirates Park presents its inaugural Peter Milling Thoroughbred Yearling Sale draft at the Dubbo Showgrounds on Sunday, February 12.
Comprising of a quality consignment born and reared on the same pastures that produced multiple Group 1 winners Theseo, County Tyrone, Shamekha and Dash For Cash to name but a few, Emirates Park's Dubbo offering features the first-crop progeny of Mutawaajid and the first Australian-bred offspring of Eavesdropper (USA).
Mutawaajid should need little introduction to prospective buyers as a dual Group 2 winning son of Redoute's Choice unbeaten in his first five career starts at 2-3 years of age, including the time honoured Royal Sovereign Stakes (1200m) and Hobartville Stakes (1400m). The home-bred stallion's first yearlings have already sold to $60,000 even at this early stage of the new sales series, with buyers of the breed including the likes of champion Victorian trainer Peter Moody and the Aquanita Racing enterprise.
Eavesdropper (USA) is a son of the internationally celebrated Kingmambo from one of the truly great stallion families of the world. Close relations include US champion sire A.P. Indy, as well the imported Bite The Bullet (USA), Spectacular Spy (USA) and Statue of Liberty (USA) --- the trio being recognised sires of Group 1 winners in Australia.
The sale is to be attended by Emirates Park CEO Trevor Lobb and Nominations Manager Bryan Carlson who will both be happy to discuss the draft or any aspect of the stud's plans for the year ahead.
Each and every member of Emirates Park's 2012 Dubbo Yearling Sale draft is fully eligible for the BOBS bonus scheme. |
