Another stakes success to Majestic Music

NOVEMBER 3, 2009: Star Al Maher filly Majestic Music added to her impressive collection of black-type successes with another outstanding victory at Flemington on Melbourne Cup Day.

Despite carrying topweight of 57.5kg and conceding as much as 4kgs to the majority of her rivals, the quality 3-year-old filly came from well back in the field to land the Listed VRC Lexus Hybrid Plate over 1400 metres.

The daughter of Al Maher has now won four races from 11 outings, each and every one of her victories being a stakes event of considerable repute. Significantly, Majestic Music has now saluted the judge over 1200, 1400 and 1600 metres, a fact which illustrates the level of her versatility.

Majestic Music’s spring 3-year-old campaign currently reads six starts for three wins and one second. Stable spokesman Leo Macdonald indicated that Majestic Music might line-up in the Group 2 MRC Sandown Guineas (1600m) before heading for a spell.
