Eavesdroppers continue winning streak

SEPTEMBER 17, 2009: The impressive winning streak in North America of Eavesdropper (USA) progeny continues with another two winners by the stallion at the beginning of the week. Both June’s Best and God Gave Me Style became repeat winners for the imported stallion by winning at Arlington Park and Suffolk Downs two days apart.

June’s Best backed-up her victory at Ellis Park at the beginning of August with success in a Fillies and Mares Claiming event on September 12. The 3-year-old daughter of Eavesdropper raced towards the tail of the field in the early stages before circling her opposition around the home turn and arriving late in the straight to score by a neck.

God Gave Me Style won his latest assignment, a Claiming event over six furlongs, by a length and a half, having led for most of the race. The 3-year-old gelding won twice in the month of August and has now saluted on three occasions in the past four weeks.

Eavesdropper has two crops of racing age in North America and his progeny are proving to be prolific. In addition to June’s Best and God Gave Me Style, What U Like, Hot Rolston, Honey Trap, Well That’s Eunogh and Last Minute Joe have all been seen in the winner’s enclosure during the past few months…
