Carlson starts new position at Emirates Park

September 7, 2009: Bryan Carlson has commenced work at Emirates Park, Murrurundi, in the newly created position of Nominations Manager.

The 25-year native of Victoria has an extensive background in the thoroughbred racing and breeding industry, having received a thorough grounding during his formative days before subsequently working for internationally acclaimed outfits both locally and overseas.

A native of Bendigo, where his father operated a successful training set-up, Carlson is a post-graduate of Marcus Oldham College, Geelong, where he earned a Diploma of Horse Business Management before entering into full-time employment.

Carlson subsequently joined the stallion team at Coolmore Australia following his graduation from Marcus Oldham College, mixing his time between the Hunter Valley and Ashford Stud in North America during the southern and northern hemisphere breeding seasons.

More recently, Carlson has been involved with the selling of stallion nominations on the Darley sales team based at Northwood Park in Victoria.

Carlson commenced his new role in the first week of September and will be based at Emirates Park's headquarters at Murrurundi, New South Wales. His activities will also involve client relations and point of contact at domestic bloodstock sales. He can be contacted on (02) 6546 6550.
