FITTING END TO NSW SEASON

AUGUST ’08: It was highly fitting that the final event run in New South Wales in season 2007/08 was won by a son of Emirates Park stalwart Secret Savings (USA) in the colours of Dynamic Syndications.

Drawing the curtain on a card staged at Hawkesbury on July 31, 2008, the aptly-named Handsome Stash (3g, Secret Savings-Just Pretty) romped home to a five lengths victory. The son of Secret Savings had been purchased by Dynamic Syndications from Emirates Park out of the 2006 Magic Millions Adelaide Yearling Sale and was trained for his maiden success by leading Randwick-based mentor Kevin Moses.

Handsome Stash became the 59th individual winner for Secret Savings in an outstanding season which has also witnessed the prolific grandson of Mr Prospector represented by the stakes winners Swiss Ace (QTC Sir Byrne Hart S.-G2; 3d QTC Cup-G1), Acorns and Cent Per Cent, as well as the stakes performers Viatorian, Swissac and Savquaw.

Dynamic Syndications, too, have enjoyed another bumper racing calendar year, being prominent in the ownership of Group 2 AJC Villiers Stakes winner Honor in War (USA), as well as racing the bonny stakes winning filly Tenant’s Tiara and a host of other good gallopers sent out of the stables of trainers Chris Waller, Kevin Moses, John Hawkes and the likes.

The long standing association shared between Emirates Park and Dynamic Syndications promises to reap further reward in the new racing season with the Dean Watt headed outfit due to race impressive first crop progeny of Al Maher. A colt ex Bryce Canyon (bought for $115,000) and a filly ex Frangipani ($100,000) are to be trained by Kevin Moses on behalf of the pair’s individual group of owners.
